What to Expect at Your First Visit
Your first appointment is a consultation. Dr. Rasmussen will review your medical and dental history, perform a thorough examination, and talk through what you are hoping to address. If x-rays, intraoral photographs, or diagnostic models are needed, we will capture them during the same visit. You will leave with a written treatment plan that outlines each recommended step and the fees involved, so there are no surprises before any treatment begins.
What to bring
- A photo ID and your insurance card, if applicable
- A list of current medications and any relevant medical history
- Prior dental records or recent x-rays, if easily available
- The name of your referring dentist, if you were referred to our office
Parking and accessibility
On-site parking is available at both the Salt Lake City and Vineyard offices. Entrances are wheelchair accessible. If you need any accommodation to make your visit easier, let us know when you schedule and we will plan accordingly.
A note on insurance. Rasmussen Prosthodontics is a fee-for-service practice and is not contracted with any insurance company. Dental Emergencies & After Hours
If you are an active patient and experience a dental emergency during office hours, call either location directly and we will do our best to see you the same day. Outside of normal business hours, please leave a detailed voicemail and we will return your call as soon as possible.
For any life-threatening situation — severe swelling that affects breathing or swallowing, uncontrolled bleeding, or a significant facial injury — call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room first, then let us know so we can coordinate follow-up care.
